In this study 12 human volunteers were exposed to a 900 MHz RF field from a cell phone for 4 hours. The phone was placed in the subject's pocket, with the keypad facing the body. No details of SAR are given, and indeed it is not clear which pocket was used.

At 0, 1, 2, and 4 hours of exposure, blood was taken for analysis. Plasma lipid peroxide levels were significantly decreased at 1, 2, and 4 hours. Levels of erythrocyte antioxidant levels were significantly decreased compared with pre-exposure levels. Superoxide dismutase was decreased at 1 and 4 hours, and glutathine peroxidase at 1 and 2 hours. Catalase activity was unchanged.

There is no mention of a sham exposure having been done.
