This study examined 52 subjects, of whom 32 were women. The study was double-blind and each subject was studied during active therapy and placebo therapy. The therapy was administered for 15 minutes. The amount of time to onset of sleep was reduced with the active therapy and there was a change in the pattern of the sleep stages.
