These authors used two separate sources of EM fields in the radiofrequency range to study the effect on the EEG¹s of 36 volunteers. The first source was a therapy instrument (150 MHz) and the second was a mobile, digital telephone at 900 MHz.

Exposure to the mobile telephone and to the therapy instrument was associated with an increase in the EEG waves starting approximately 15 minutes after the exposure. Hermann and Hossman (1996) state that similar changes can occur spontaneously due to alterations in the level of awareness of the individual during the EEG.
