Hardell L, Carlberg M, Mild KH (2006a)

In this paper the authors pooled the results from two case-control studies, which they conducted in Sweden in the years 1997-2003. They used the same study methods for both. The present paper discusses benign tumours.

They found increased ORs for the use of analogue, digital and cordless phones for acoustic neuroma but not for meningioma. In the multivariate analysis, the risk was statistically significant only for analogue phones and acoustic neuroma. The OR was 2.5 for those with more than 1-year latency, and 2.2 for those with > 10 year latency.
